🥜 In a nutshell

As Picnic is growing rapidly in France, we are looking for a Financial Controller France who will take responsibility for financial control and reporting for Picnic’s French business. You will be based in our head office in Amsterdam. We are looking for somebody who can combine first-class analytical skills with a creative and problem-solving mindset. This role will give you the opportunity to grow with the increasing complexity of Picnic’s French business and will continue to provide new challenges as the business matures further. The person we are looking for is able to think about the finance domain of the future instead of just executing a finance role.

🎯 What you’ll do

You are confident and take ownership of your projects, but also collaborate with and motivate colleagues. As our Financial Controller France you will:

  • Be responsible for preparing the periodic P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement of Picnic France
  • Interact with a wide range of business teams (trading, fulfillment, distribution, marketing) at Picnic’s head office and provide them with financials on a week and period basis
  • Independently deal with day-to-day interactions with strategic suppliers for Picnic France
  • Be responsible for reviewing intercompany charges from Picnic International 
  • Be involved in a range of tax and legal topics for Picnic France, together with Picnic’s fiscal and legal specialists

⭐ About you

  • Relevant master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Econometrics 
  • 3 - 6 years of experience in a role such a a financial or business controller 
  • Out-of-the-box thinking and initiative: Hands-on, nothing-is-impossible mindset
  • Excellent organizational and team leading skills
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
  • Excellent technical accounting skills and analytical expertise

⭐ Desirable requirements

  • Knowledge of MS Excel and Tableau
  • Post master degree in accounting and/or controlling
  • (French) taxation/legal knowledge
