Experienced Analyst (French speaking)
Location: Lille

At Picnic we care about health and safety, so currently, all interviews are done online and our team is working from home. We keep a close eye on the developments around Covid-19, and support your relocation (if necessary) when it is safe to do so. It is possible to start working remotely with us - have a peek at how the remote onboarding is going here.

Picnic is data-driven and complex – from pricing strategies, forecasting, warehouse automation, to the ever-expanding growth of our company, we are constantly faced with new challenges and opportunities…that’s where you come in!

🏢 Where you fit in

We are looking for an experienced data analyst who can drive complex business projects. You present an understanding of what drives consumer behaviour and operational efficiency.  You’ll glean actionable insights from large data sets - but your eyes definitely won’t be glued to data all day! You also offer entrepreneurial, realistic, and practical business opportunities. You use your experience to prioritize the work, help your colleagues and make sure we finish what we start with the best end result. You will take ownership of your work from the day you start.

Have a forward-thinking idea? Tell your team, modify it, evaluate, experiment, and then make a real impact in our company!

Our experienced data analysts can work within any Picnic team, such as operations, marketing or our store team, and will work together with fellow analysts and colleagues from a whole range of other disciplines. We use data in every decision that we make, therefore your input will add value to everything we do!

 🔥 What challenges await you

  • Drive implementation and improvement of projects from kick-off until the final whistle
  • Design, implement and evaluate numerous experiments
  • Optimize tools, systems, and business processes
  • Relentless focus on creating habit-forming product ideas

🔍Who you are

You combine first-class analytical skills with a creative and problem-solving mindset. You don’t only see numbers in data sets, but you see opportunities.

As an innovative thinker, you constantly generate your own ideas. You’re also ambitious – you come up with smart solutions, not easy ones.

Superior presentation and communication skills allow you to convert complexity into digestible information for your team. You are confident and you use your experience to take ownership of your projects, but also collaborate with and motivate your colleagues!

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics or an equivalent quantitative study
  • 3 to 7 years of experience as a data analyst or strategy consultant
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Confidence with a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Out-of-the-box thinking and initiative: Hands-on, nothing-is-impossible mindset
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Desirable requirement: knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and Python
