🥜 In a nutshell
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t shy away from taking responsibility for the consolidated financial reporting & control of Picnic International. You will be responsible for the Picnic International’s entities, Picnic’s consolidated accounting & reporting standards and will start setting up our International internal control framework. You will work closely with our country controllers and provide the required oversight as well as checks and balances. Next to that, you will have the opportunity to bring Picnic annual reporting in-house and build our external reporting to a level in line with Picnic’s ambitious requirements.
As a specialist within the finance team, working closely together with the Financial Reporting & Control Lead, you will be able to constantly generate your own ideas about how to bring Picnic’s finance domain to the next level. All in all, a unique opportunity for somebody with ambitions within the financial control and reporting domain.
🎯 What you’ll do
You are confident and take ownership of your projects, but also collaborate with and motivate colleagues. As our Financial Reporting and Control Specialist within Picnic’s Finance team you will:
- Build-out the financial reporting & control function at Picnic International (together with the country controllers for the Netherlands, Germany and France);
- Perform relevant checks and balances on accuracy and completeness of (internal/external) reporting;
- Identify and drive internal control improvement initiatives;
- Bring the annual reporting of the Picnic entities in-house and in line with Picnic’s ambitious requirements;
- Be a key player in the audit processes (for the consolidated as well as local financial statements) of the Picnic entities;
- Contribute accounting and internal control knowledge to Picnic’s Finance team;
- Identify and follow-up on future reporting requirements (e.g. IFRS transition and/or ESG-requirements)
⭐ About you
- Relevant master’s degree in Finance, Economics and/or Accounting
- Post master degree in accounting (RA/CPA)
- 5 - 7 years of working experience, ideally also as a Financial Controller
- Explicit experience with accounting under Dutch GAAP and IFRS standards
- Currently working in the Netherlands, or willing to relocate
- Strong analytical skills, structured thinking and an eye for detail
- Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
- Fluency in both verbal and written English
