🥜 In a nutshell

We are looking for somebody who can oversee all accounting and reporting topics within Picnic as the Accounting & Reporting Lead. You will work closely with all experts within our finance team, such as the financial controllers, tax specialists and financial analysts from our HQ in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for the audit process of all Picnic entities and the interaction with our auditors. Within Picnic, you will be the key person responsible for the more complex and challenging accounting topics. 

Finally, you will have the opportunity to bring Picnic’s annual report preparation in-house and bring it to a level in line with Picnic’s ambitious requirements. This will also include incorporating ESG metrics and at some point even a transition to IFRS accounting standards.

As a specialist within the finance team, you will be able to constantly generate your own ideas about how to bring Picnic’s finance domain to the next level. All in all, a unique opportunity for somebody with ambitions within the accounting and reporting domain. 

🎯 What you’ll do

You are confident and take ownership of your projects, but also collaborate with and motivate colleagues. As our Accounting & Reporting Lead within Picnic’s Finance team you will:

  • Be responsible for the preparation and execution of the audit process for all Picnic’s entities in the Netherlands, Germany and France
  • Be the key point of contact for our auditor as well as compilation accountants
  • Be the key point of contact for more complex and challenging accounting topics
  • Bring the annual reporting of the Picnic entities in-house and in line with Picnic’s ambitious requirements
  • Identify and follow-up on future reporting requirements (e.g. ESG, IFRS transition)

⭐ About you

  • Relevant master’s degree in Finance, Economics and/or Accounting 
  • Post master degree in accounting (RA/CPA)
  • 7 - 10 years of working experience, ideally as a senior manager audit at a Big4
  • Explicit experience with accounting under Dutch GAAP and IFRS standards
  • Currently working in the Netherlands
  • Strong analytical skills, structured and accurate
  • Excellent organizational and team leading skills
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English
