🥜 In a nutshell

Picnic continues to develop a real estate portfolio that includes hundreds of locations ranging from large-scale fulfillment centers to small, last-mile delivery centers across the Netherlands, France, and Germany. 

As Building Lead, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our buildings in Germany are ready for operation. It’s a varied role that includes arranging all the necessary permits, creating building layouts, coordinating renovations, and much more. Together with Fit Out Leads and Fit Out Coordinators, you’ll manage complete reconstructions and create supplier relations to be proud of. Within a short period of time contractors will create an impressive building that is suited to Picnic’s Operations.

🎯  What you’ll do

  • You’ll be responsible for the complete process of opening new Picnic buildings (HUBs and Fulfillment Centers) in multiple locations across Germany 
  • Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to): permits, contracting suppliers, checking supplier availability, planning, budget, handover to operations, creating building layouts, and purchasing 
  • You’ll coach and give directions to the Fit-Out Leads who will be renovating the various buildings 
  • Eventually, you’ll be responsible for implementing facility management across our German locations

About you

  • Master’s degree in civil engineering, real estate management, business administration, economics, or similar technical field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a comparable field
  • Great mentoring and coaching skills to bring your team to the next level 
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel 
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Willingness to travel and a category B driver's license
  • Knowledge of tenancy law is a bonus
