In-house Analyst Consultant - Experienced (m/w/d)
Location: Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

At Picnic, we’re revolutionizing the way people buy groceries today with our innovative and sustainable modern milkman, app-only concept. We develop a whole new idea in-house, developing cutting-edge technologies and processes to ensure we continue the rapid growth without missing a beat. If you're up for the challenge of taking Picnic from North Rhine-Westphalia across the whole Germany and help scaling up the modern milkman, then make sure you talk with us!

🥜 In a nutshell

Did you know that...

  • we are a Dutch company founded in 2015 and active in The Netherlands, Germany and France, counting 1000+ talents in our central offices and more than 17 000 talents in operations across three countries?
  • we build 25+ tech products in-house and 20+ AI/ML projects like drop times optimization (read here), article demand forecast or personalization on the previously purchased articles?
  • we operate with a fleet of electric vehicles (read here), build most of our supply chain in-house (read here) and do only next-day delivery that allows us to set up a sustainable supply chain model?
  • we raised €600M in our Series D round of funding to further build and grow the best milkman on earth?

As an experienced analyst consultant at Picnic you own end-to-end projects, from getting the right insights out of data till implementing those action points in the real life (listen to our colleagues' testimonials about their role here). You will be faced with a steep learning curve by working on complex projects, challenging the status-quo and impacting the business model cross-countries, while coaching and sharing knowledge with our junior talents. You’ll work with multiple stakeholders from our offices in the Netherlands, Germany, and France and challenge the world of online grocery industry today.

"Given Picnic's rapid growth and ever changing conditions, I'm currently working on constantly defining our inbound strategy to create an optimal inbound network. Picnic's inbound network consists of multiple streams where suppliers either deliver directly to our warehouses or suppliers deliver to our own distribution center which then supplies our warehouses. To define the optimal network that provides the freshest groceries to our customers at lowest cost, I built an analytical model which simulates volume streams and allows me to find opportunities to further improve the status-quo", Cindy Chhay-Lagast

🎯 What you’ll do

You’ll work on a wide range of projects which can vary from supply chain optimization problems to pricing or assortment strategies, to online store efficiency (we're an app-only model, imagine how much we can improve out there through data) to tech analytics and so on. You develop solutions for challenging problems with the help of advanced analytics methods - from conception to modeling to handover to implementation. You use your knowledge of optimization, mathematics, statistics, machine learning, data science to derive important insights for a wide variety of topics (e.g. in domains like Fulfillment, Distribution, Commercial, Customer, Technology). You'll work with stakeholders from Germany, The Netherlands and France and drive innovation everywhere. As you come in with more experience, your coaching and knowledge sharing skills would be an amazing add-on.
