🥜 In a nutshell
Picnic is growing rapidly and dealing with broader, more complex challenges every day. We are looking for an interim legal counsel to help us scale our growth in Germany. You will work mainly with the German team located in our Düsseldorf offices. Your main focus will be on commercial lease contracts and labor law, but you will also deal with a broad range of other legal topics.
We are looking for someone who is structured, self-starting, pragmatic and responsible. You may be working either from Picnic’s German (Dusseldorf) or Dutch (Amsterdam) offices or remotely, with travelling to these offices occasionally. The assignment would be from 1 March until at least 1 June 2023 for at least 3 days a week (ideally 4 or 5).
🎯 What you’ll do
- Be the backbone of our German expansion by supporting on negotiations of commercial lease agreements and employment law matters
- In addition, you will deal with a variety of other business contracts and legal topics arising over the course of projects, day-to-day legal questions and disputes across all topics
- Provide hands-on and pragmatic legal support to the different areas of the business
⭐ About you
- Degree in German Law
- 4 - 8 years of relevant professional experience as a lawyer with a medium-sized or large law firm and/or in-house
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and project management skills
- Proactive and hands-on mentality
- Flexible and structured way of working
- A pragmatic and commercial approach to legal matters
- Able to work independently as well as under supervision of legal counsels
- Language skills: German native (speaking and writing) and proficiency in English
