At Picnic, we’re revolutionizing the way people buy groceries with our innovative and sustainable app-only service. We do almost everything in-house, developing cutting-edge technologies and processes to ensure we continue to grow rapidly without missing a beat. If you’re a passionate Computer Science (or related) student, we’re offering you the opportunity to join the diverse team at our Amsterdam HQ, and make a real difference in our scaleup environment.
Picnic is constantly evolving, but developers are always at the core of what we do. In growing at such a rapid pace, we’re facing exciting new challenges. This creates a lot of room for your innovative ideas. You’ll dive into complex route planning for millions of orders to micro-optimizing how many bananas we order for which warehouse on a Thursday.
As an interns, you’ll be part of a dedicated team and will take ownership of your ideas. From day one, you’ll start coordinating your project. You’ll develop the proposal and take complete ownership of the idea. You’ll run the project from initiation to implementation. That means, the more time you have available, the more interesting projects you can take over! We’re proud of our developments and open-source with the community. Work-life balance
Where possible, we like to enable people to work in ways that suit their working styles, which is why we have a hybrid-working model. Our teams generally like to have at least one team day per week at the office (the tasty lunch and Barista-made coffee may be a factor), but besides that, it’s up to you and your team.
COVID-19
We care about your health and wellbeing. As such, we currently support online interviews and remote onboarding (learn more about the process here).
