Location
Shoppers work to prepare the groceries for hundreds of customers every day. From coffee beans to ice cream from our freezers, this fast-paced job can be physically demanding. It’s like being paid to go to the gym! You will be working in different departments.
For example, most of our products are in the “ambient” area. These are products that can be at room temperature. You get a picking cart which holds crates for the customer orders and walk around picking groceries according to our smart mobile app. In a few hours, these groceries will be at the door of the customer.
The next day you will work in the “chilled” area, where we store our cooled products. Of course, you will get a warm jacket and gloves to wear. You’re responsible for collecting the cold products that customers order, like milk and yogurt, and putting them into insulated crates. You will also ensure that the crates and containers are ready for shipment.
It gets even better! One of the benefits you’ll enjoy is a catered lunch and dinner every day. We also have a great break room where you can relax. If you’re feeling competitive, you can challenge your colleagues to a game of pool or ping pong!
The distribution centre of Picnic is open 7 days a week. There are two different shifts:
Every week you can submit your availability. Our busiest days are Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and we ask for availability on at least two of these days. We also ask you to be available on Saturday or Sunday at least twice a month.
Are you a student? Then you can also decide to do one evening-shift on a weekday (from 18:00 onwards), and do one weekend-shift!
